Dimapur, July 10 (MExN): The Bible Society of India (BSI) inaugurated its Branch at Pfutsero town on July 8 at the Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC) Mission Centre, T Chikri, Pfutsero.
The inauguration programme was attended by the Pastors and leaders of seventeen churches, and staff members from the CBCC and BTC.
Reverend Dr Yiepetso Wezah, who is the Auxiliary Secretary of the Bible Society of India said that the BSI is a servant of the Church. “It translates, produces and supplies the Word of God at heavily subsidized rate. Its aim is to provide Bible to all believers of Jesus Christ and even to non-believers so that they will read and come to know the true living God,” stated a press release from Yiepetso Wezah, Auxiliary Secretary, BSI Dimapur.
Those Kraho, President of the Bible Society of India, Kohima Branch smeanwhile shared on the activities of the society and its different branches. He encouraged Church leaders and individual believers to support the ministry of BSI which provides Bible with a subsidy of 60% and above.
He challenged churches and individuals to enroll Patron Members, Life Time Members, Regular Donors and gifts. Zakiebito Terhuja Media In-charge also shared how BSI operates its ministry through media, pointing out the importance of media in spreading the Word of God in today’s world.
Meanwhile, office bearers of BSI Pfutsero Branch were unanimously selected led by Thekho Rova, Pastor Poumai Baptist Church as President, Aba Dazo, Principal, CMHSS as Secretary and Ngotso Dai, Associate Pastor, Rukizu as Treasurer, installed by Reverend Khrotso Mero, Executive Secretary, CBCC.
The meeting was chaired by Dr Kuzhopoyo Tunyi, Chairman of Pfutsero Town Pastors’ Fellowship. Solhou Koza offered opening prayer and Thekho Rova offered benediction.
At present, BSI Dimapur Auxiliary is covering 111 tribes in Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland and Karbi Along District of Assam.
BSI acknowledged the CBCC for sponsoring the inauguration programme of BSI Pfutsero Branch.
