BIG BAZAAR promises new shopping experience

‘Big Bazaar’, one of India’s leading hypermarket chains by Future Group, has finally landed in Nagaland’s commercial hub Dimapur. The launch was announced jointly by Nibu Nagi, the property owner, and Manish Agarwal, CEO, fbb & Big Bazaar, in a press conference on Friday.  

Located at Nagi House, Circular Road, the all new Big Bazaar (BB) is spread across a spacious 24,168 sq. ft. comprising of five floors. The ground floor houses a complete range of western wear for women featuring brands like Lee Cooper, DJ&C, Hey!, Spunk, among others. The first floor offers ethnic wear for women and men by leading brands like Ateesa, Sristhi and Shatranj and also western wear (casual and formal) for men. The second floor is dedicated to kids fashion, toys and footwear for men and women. The third floor is stacked with personal care products by leading global brands.  

The topmost floor dedicated to food and grocery products will also offer special Naga vegetables, pickles and much more.  

According to a press handout, BB promises the ‘Har din lowest price’ with massive price drops on over 1,500 every-day use items. With the launching of the latest store, people of Nagaland can also participate in BB’s mega properties like Sabse Saste Din, Wednesday Bazaar and Public Holiday Sale etc.  

Besides, customers can also avail benefits of BB’s Future Pay mobile-wallet for shopping across Future Group stores for an effortless shopping experience. Customers can shop using Future Pay at over 1000 plus Future Group stores including Big Bazaar, fbb, Ezone, HyperCity, Central, Easyday Club, Heritage, Nilgiris & Brand Factory stores.  

Currently with 5 million plus users, Future Pay not only facilitates cashless transaction but also provides card-less transaction by linking the loyalty cards (payback) to Future Pay.

Our store will be a one stop shopping destination that will cater to all our consumer needs,” said Manish Agarwal.  

Neibu Nagi, said the launching of the store would go a long way in providing employment to the educated local youth. He also informed that majority of the 150 plus employees in BB Dimapur are Naga youths.  

Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, will formally inaugurate the BB Dimapur on Saturday.
