DIMAPUR, MARCH 24 (MExN): In commemoration of Birth Defect Awareness month, the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) Dimapur under National Health Mission in collaboration with Anushkaa Foundation India conducted a Free Clubfoot Camp at District Hospital (DH) Dimapur on March 22.
The medical team was led by Dr Visietsolie Vupru, Senior Orthopedic Surgeon, DH Dimapur. The RBSK Team also gave awareness and counseling on Clubfoot to the parents and guardians during the camp.
Three patients were diagnosed and provided free treatment at the camp.
Prior to conducting this camp, the RBSK Team had been screening children in Dimapur District for Clubfoot during their routine visits to Government aided schools and Anganwadi centres throughout the month, a press release informed.
Moreover, every Friday, treatment for Clubfoot will be available at DH Dimapur to ensure continued free screening and treatment services, it added.
