Dimapur, June 30 (MExN): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland unit, following the State Membership Workshop held at Dimapur on the June 22, conducted membership drive workshops in the districts along with the rest of the country, from June 26-29 as per the National schedule to hold district workshops during the period June 24-30.
A press release issued by the State General Secretary; Co-In charge, State Membership Drive, BJP Nagaland, stated that on June 26, Mangkolemba Political Org. District held its membership workshop under the in charge of Takosunep, followed by the district workshops on June 27 at Mokokchung I/c Apong Longchar; Tuensang I/c Horili Sangtam; Longleng I/c Belong Phom and Aboi I/c Longnyei.
The release also stated that on June 28, the workshops were held in the following districts, Phek I/c Kowe Lohe; Pughoboto Political Org. District I/c Pukhazhe Kiho; Peren I/c Thaingamlung; Kohima I/c Thekruchalie Punyü; Zunheboto I/c Sukheto Kiba and Wokha I/c Nchumbemo.
On June 29, the District membership workshops were held at Dimapur I/c i Ikato V.Sumi; Mon Sho-o I/c and Noklak I/c Shri K. Heno. “Kiphire District shall be holding its Workshop at a later date for unavoidable reasons,” it added.
The Speakers who delivered the Keynote Addresses in the District workshops were, Thsangse Sangtam State Vice President; Lanu Akum O, State Spokesperson; Khongwang State Secretary; Kuputo Shohe Chief Spokesperson; Kevechutso Duolo, Chairman NEPED; Ananta Mishra Secy. (Org); Aholi Achumi, Member, District Membership Committee; Peter Rutsa, State Vice President; Temjen Imna Along, State President and Minister Higher & technical Education; Subenthung State Vice president; Huzanttabou State Executive Member; Jaangsillung Gonmei State General Secretary and Co-Incharge, State Membership Committee and Er Kawang, State Secretary.
The State General Secretary; Co-In charge, State Membership Drive, BJP Nagaland in the press release also mentioned that the message that was delivered in all the workshops, were for the Mandal membership Committees “to set up the minimum 25 member Booth Committees and hold in charge and Co-Incharge Workshops before July 5 in time for the launch on July 6.”It also addressed party workers to gear up for a short but intensive membership enrollment drive that would be launched nationwide on July 6, and all the participants were briefed on the process of enrolling members.
“After July 6, any member can dial miscall to the 89 80 80 80 80 to enroll into the party. While doing so, they shall be assisted by Membership Committee Members and party workers in filling up the membership enrollment form with basic information of the enrolling members. Primary enrollment would last for one month followed by active membership enrollment for one month in August on the basis of a party worker enrolling “at least 25 members,” the release informed.
The membership Committee, further appealed all the party workers and people to come forth for the enrollment after the launch on July 6.
