BJP to go it alone in Mizoram

Aizawl, November 4 (PTI): The Bharatiya Janata Party will not forge any pre-electoral alliance with the Mizo National Front, a constituent of the BJP-led North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA), and contest all the seats in the Mizoram Assembly polls due next year, a senior party leader said on Friday.   Hayithung Bill Lotha, the BJP national secretary for Scheduled Tribe Morcha, said that the party will contest all the 40 Assembly seats. He claimed that the BJP will win the polls and form the government in the State.   Lotha said the party will not announce the name of the chief ministerial candidate for the elections.   He said he and other party leaders had so far visited 20 Assembly constituencies, including the remotest Siaha and Lawngtlai districts.   Lotha claimed that the BJP would also win in Tripura and form coalition governments with like-minded parties in Meghalaya and Nagaland.
