The BJP Kiphire unit held a felicitation programme on appointing Hobbs. S Thonger by the BJP State Unit yesterday which was attended by host of party men both 59 & 60 AC ward members and GBs.
Speaking at the felicitation programme and acknowledging the State BJP president Visasolie Lhoungu for the appointment, the new president of the district unit maintained assured to give his best for the welfare of the party and the people.
Hobbs advised the party men to avoid “gossip and jealousy” which he described as setback of any political party and maintained that to be a good leader, one should work above family and clan so that the people are benefited. He also added that being a BJP is not a waste of time as the central leadership also knows the existence of BJP in the district. Kughavi, from 59 AC mandal urged the party men to work together in good times or in bad times so that the district and the party moves ahead towards progress and to work tirelessly for the forth coming municipal and town council election.
60 AC mandal President Thsipise also encouraged gathering to maintain transparency while discharging duties and build strong bond for the good of the party.
