BJP Kiphire to contest 2028 General Election independently

Kiphire, December 15 (MExN):  The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kiphire District, in its District Executive meeting held at Seili Complex, Kiphire on December 15, unanimously adopted a resolution to contest the 2028 General Election in Nagaland independently, without any seat-sharing arrangement. 

An update from the party stated that the resolution is seen as a bold reaffirmation of the party’s strength and confidence in its vision was passed after extensive deliberations on various issues concerning the district and the state. 

At the same time, the district executive expressed its unconditional and unwavering support to the dynamic and visionary leadership of Benjamin Yepthomi, State BJP President of Nagaland and Y Patton, Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland, acknowledging their pivotal role in carrying forward the Bharatiya Janata Party to greater heights of success and in fulfilling the aspirations of the people.   

The District Executive also extended its appreciation and acknowledgement to Shri. A. Pangjung Jamir, BJP Legislator Incharge Kiphire & Hon’ble MLA and Advisor for Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Government of Nagaland for his steadfast guidance and contributions towards the growth and prosperity of the party under Kiphire District. 

In addition, the gathering expressed complete support to the policies and programmes initiated by the BJP State Office, noting their importance in strengthening the party’s growth and advancement across Nagaland. 

The meeting proceedings were conducted with solemnity and enthusiasm beginning with the invocation by Rezila Sangtam, Secretary BJP Kiphire District, followed by a welcome address delivered by Charles, Vice President BJP Kiphire District. 

The induction of new executives was carried out by K Chumseli Anar, State Vice President BJYM, while short speeches were delivered by Kiumusu, President 60 Mandal, Liose, General Secretary 59 Mandal, Thritsali, BJP Leader and Thritongse, Vice President BJP Kiphire District.
