BJP lures voters with tall promises in Wokha

Wokha, July 23 (MExN): BJP officials comprising Secretary (organisation) Nagaland in-charge, Ananta Narayan Mishra along with Er. Cheong Konyak, State Vice President & in-charge of Wokha district, Er. Senkathung Jami, State Vice President, and district officials carried out Wokha district BJP Mandal Tour on July 18 and 19.

In every Mandal meeting, Ananta Mishra spoke about party organisational set up with ten points to be executed to prepare for the 2018 General Assembly election on war footing, informed a press release from N. Nchumbemo Jami, General Secretary, BJP Wokha district.

He maintained that BJP is basically a party based for the grassroots people and not against any religion. “It believes in positive secularism and value-based politics. The notion that BJP is a Hindu Party is just a political propaganda,” Mishra asserted.

He assured the public that in the coming election, BJP will form government in Nagaland as it is cornered by Assam, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh which are all BJP ruled States. He requested the public not to be confused with political propaganda but join hands and vote for BJP so as to relieve the hardship the public are facing daily.

Mishra promised that if BJP is voted to power, within one year, 24X7 regular power & water supply will be given, roads from every district to villages will be constructed, and 5% sale profit from DHEP (Doyang Hydro Electric Project) NEEPCO Ltd generation will go to the affected villages as direct benefit.

He had expressed regret that power is sufficiently generated in the backyard but in the adjoining villages, there is no current. Nagaland roads though available, he added, are in dilapidated state, and there is no water supply, no electricity.

Meanwhile, Er. Cheong Konyak told the gathering and party workers that BJP will surely come to power in the coming election and asked the people not to get confused but vote for BJP. He also encouraged the party workers stating Wokha district is a pioneer district for BJP in Nagaland.
