BJP Manipur accuses NPF of 'unfair means' in LS elections

IMPHAL:  Thought BJP and Naga People's Front (NPF) are alliance under the NDA, the Manipur unit of BJP has accused the NPF of indulging in unfair means during the just concluded Lok Sabha Polls in Manipur hills.

Talking to media persons before leaving Imphal for Delhi today, BJP president Manipur chapter Th Chaoba accused the NPF and the Congress of indulging in various practices that had violated the code of conduct of the Election in both Manipur Outer and Inner constituencies. Chaoba said the Congress was using money and muscle power in the valley while the NPF was carrying out unfair means in the Manipur hills during the elections. "Congress and NPF are two brothers in practicing such activities," stated the BJP leader.

Meanwhile, Chaoba said BJP national president Rajnath Singh has invited him for a BJP national level meeting and also for the swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi. "I will present the issues confronting the state of Manipur to the Central leaders," assured the BJP leader.

Meanwhile, Th Chaoba said that though the BJP has lost both the seats in Manipur the number of votes the party got has jumped to a huge figure in this 2014 Lok Sabha polls in Manipur when compared to the 2009 polls.

Chaoba then said BJP has created history in the world by decimating the opposition (Congress led UPA) to less than 10% in the 543 member Lower House of the Parliament. "This is akin to say that the opposition is non-existent," stated the BJP president.
