BJP members switch support to Zhaleo Rio

Dimapur, February 2 (MExN): Over 200 primary and active BJP members of 5 Ghaspani-II A/C led by top leaders have reportedly joined hands with the intending NDPP candidate, Zhaleo Rio and declared to support him if election is held as announced by the Election Commission of India in Nagaland.  

In a simple function, Zhaleo acknowledged and welcomed the BJP leaders of his constituency who pledged unanimous support for his leadership in the coming general elections, stated a press release from Thejangukho Yalietsu, press secretary, NDPP, 5 Ghaspani-II A/C. Addressing the gathering, he noted “almost everyone here have come under one umbrella now, all from different parties because of the present political scenario” which, according to him, has only strengthened his commitment as a leader of the people.  

Stating that justice and equality is a must in a democracy, he urged the party workers to strive unitedly leaving aside all impending differences for a brighter future of the constituency, the release added.  

K. Nihokhe, Mandal President of BJP, 5 Ghaspani-II A/C disclosed they had declared to resign from their respective posts in support of Zhaleo “since they had to depend on a visionary leader who could attend to his duties and responsibilities.”  

Others who spoke were Miathou Krose, senior founding member, NDPP; Dosau Kuotsu, president, NDPP, 5 Ghaspani-II A/C; Keviyani Thepa, former vice president, Central NPF; Seyielhoutuo Keyho, former president, NPF, 5 Ghaspani-II A/C.
