Dimapur, June 27 (MExN): BJP Minority Morcha, Dimapur District was formed on June 26 and it was formally declared at a meeting attended by minority community party workers and supporters of BJP Dimapur district.
A press note stated that the objective of the Morcha is to strengthen support for BJP among the minority communities in Dimapur. Speaking as the guest of honour, L Bendang, president, BJP Dimapur District Unit expressed his support for the newly formed minority Morcha and urged the executives of the organization to work for the betterment of the society in general and Dimapur in Particular.
He said that although there should be no distinction between citizens under the label of minority and majority, as all are citizens of the nation first, but the cultural diversity in India compels political parties to branch out into separate wings for better coordination, communication and cooperation between different communities. Ultimately, it promotes accommodation and participatory democracy which is good for the nation. He said BJP is the only party which is truly working for all the sections of the society.
The executives of the newly formed groups are President- Biplab Sangma, Vice President - Vikram Singh, General Secretary Organization- Pravakar Yadav, General secretary Administration- Karam Ajit Singh, Finance Secretary- Sudish Bhagat, Treasurer- Satish Arora.
