BJP Mkg invites beneficiaries for PM Vishwakarma scheme

Mokokchung, February 17 (MExN): The registration PM Vishwakarma (Modi 1 Lakh Loan Scheme) is being undertaken at BJP Office Mokokchung and it will continue till next week. 

The PM Vishwakarma Yojana is an initiative by the Indian Government to support and uplift artisans and craftsmen from the Vishwakarma (craftsman) community, informed a press release issued by Rongsenyanger, Convener PM Vishwakarma Committee & President BJP, Kisan Cell, BJP Mokokchung District. 

It is a flagship programme of the Central Government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and is supposed to be one of the biggest employment schemes in the country. Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman has allocated Rs 13,000 crore for this scheme. 

Along with the rest of the country, the BJP Mokokchung is also taking up the task of registering the eligible beneficiaries in the district. 

This scheme covers all the Indian families, citizens. However, only one from each family can register to be a beneficiary. At the same time, the beneficiary should not be a government employee or there should not be a government servant in the family. Moreover, the beneficiary should not be a bank defaulter or a loanee from any bank. 

The scheme would enable unemployed artisans in different fields like carpentry, basket and broom making, tailoring, doll and toy making, cobbler, blacksmith, mason, pottery etc. 

Once the registration is completed, the Central government and its nodal agencies will screen the names of the registered beneficiaries and execute the scheme all over the country. 

Interested beneficiaries can approach the BJP Mokokchung Office, Arkong Ward during office hours (10:00 am – 3:00 pm). Important documents needed are: One photocopy of Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, PAN Card, Permanent Residential Certificate, Bank Passbook and Two passport size photographs. A nominal amount of Rs. 300 is charged for registration. 

“The BJP Mokokchung District invites the citizens of Mokokchung district to avail this flagship programme and register their names to get the benefits as earmarked in the scheme,” it added.
