
Dimapur, June 22 (MExN): The BJP Nagaland held a one day workshop on Sangathan Parv membership drive 2019 at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur on June 22. All the membership committee members from the State and Districts, District Incharges, attended the workshop.
A press release issued by Jaangsillung Gonmei, State General Secretary, BJP Nagaland stated that the BJP National General Secretary (Org) North East Incharge, Ajay Jamwal delivered the Keynote address and gave a detailed account of the programmes and the targets set to be achieved. The membership drive 2019 is distinct from the earlier membership drives by the fact that it is going to be a short and intensive programme stretching over just a period of two months where both primary and active members are to be enrolled one after the other.
The workshop that has been held and are to be held at the districts and mandal levels are just a prelude to the membership drive to be launched nationwide on July 6, 2019. After which, anyone can enroll to be BJP members by dialing the no. 89 80 80 80 80 and giving a missed call, which will generate a series of verification for old and new enrollments which will finally confirm and update the party membership. One phone/SIM can enroll upto 4 members. The paper slip enrollments are also to continue along with electronic enrollments.
The workshop chaired by Jaangsillung Gonmei, State General Secretary and the Co-Incharge of the State Membership Committee, commenced with an invocation by Smt. Attila Phom, State Secretary and Longleng District Incharge. The Chairperson highlighted the purpose of the workshop and the State Vice President and Tuensang District Incharge Thsangse Sangtam detailed the membership enrollment efforts. The Incharge of the State Membership Committee, Er Longshi Kikon, presented the plans, methodology, schedules of the programme.
Ananta Mishra, Secretary (Org.) laid out the targets and the ways to achieve them and encourage party workers to enroll as many as possible. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri Noklem Konyak, Member, State Membership Committee.
All the District membership Incharges are to submit to the State Membership Committee, the names and contact Nos. of the three member Mandal membership committee at the earliest and hold the district membership workshop before June 29. Likewise, all Mandal membership committees are to constitute booth level committees with minimum 25 members before 5th July with intimation to the District and State Membership Committees.
All ranks and files of party workers are requested to get in touch with State, District, Mandal, Booth Level Membership Committees and Office Bearers and carry the message to the people at large.
