KOHIMA, AUGUST 6 (MExN): BJP Nagaland state president Benjamin Yepthomi, along with former MLAs and representatives from the Dimapur Railway Union, called on the Union Minister for Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw, in New Delhi on August 5 and deliberated on the long-pending redevelopment project of Dimapur Railway Station.

The delegation emphasized the strategic importance of Dimapur as a gateway to the Northeast and urged the swift resumption of the stalled project to meet the growing needs of passengers and boost regional connectivity.

The transformation of the former ‘Look East Policy’ into the proactive ‘Act East Policy’ under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah  has brought renewed emphasis on connectivity, infrastructure, and inclusive growth in the Northeast.

Nagaland’s railway infrastructure is witnessing significant progress under the able leadership of Ashwini Vaishnaw.

The redevelopment of Dimapur Railway Station is expected to further enhance regional connectivity and catalyze socio-economic growth in the state. This was stated in a release issued by BJP Nagaland state media cell.
