Need for State in-charge and Minister in-charge for party affairs highlighted
Dimapur, December 8 (MExN): The Nagaland State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has apprised the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh of the party activities in the State and the need for a State in-charge (Prabhari) and a Minister in-charge for party affairs. Rajnath assured the party to look into the matter, according to a press release from BJP Nagaland Media Cell.
The State BJP delegation met the Union Home Minister, who is also former national BJP president, upon his arrival at Police House, Chumukedima on December 7 and had interaction on various issues pertaining to Nagaland.
The party reminded Rajnath that during his tenure as national BJP president when he visited Chumukedima in August 2007, he had said that Nagaland has a special place and status for BJP as the State has given its first government in the North East. He told the party delegation that his next visit to the State will be for party affairs, the release said.
Led by State BJP President Visasolie Lhoungu, the delegation comprised of Dr M. Chuba Ao, former State BJP President; Ananta Mishar, Secretary (organisation); Mahesh Kotecha, Treasurer; K. James Vizo, Media Cell Convener; and Temjen Along, Finance Committee convener.
