Dimapur, June 20 (MExN): As part of the Seva Sushasan Aur Gareep Kalyan Parv programme commemorating eight years of BJP under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Government, the BJP Wokha district in collaboration with the Office of the CMO, Wokha organised a mega free medical camp at the Longsa Cultural Hall on June 20.

The camp is all sponsored by Renponthung Ezung, State Executive Member BJP Nagaland. Eramo Rakemo Lotha invoked God’s presence and started the meeting. 

Renponthung Ezung, BJP state Council Member, in his speech said that the motives behind sponsoring this mega free medical camp at his village is that he wants everyone of them to stay fit and healthy so that he will always be in their personal prayers.

Deputy CMO, Zuben Kikon thanked the people for the large gathering which shows their interest in keeping their health issues a top priority. He said that he had brought a dental team, leprosy and malaria team as well as facilities for tests for diabetes, HIV, TB and other related diseases.

He informed that out of 11 persons who had died from COVID-19 in Wokha district, 9 died because of not taking the vaccine. Out of 459 total positive COVID reports in Wokha district, he said that more than 300 people were those who have not taken the jab. 80 people who have taken the vaccine were also diagnosed with COVID-19 related issues but they did not even visited hospital but were healed at home with no complications, Kikon said.

Meanwhile, BJP Wokha, president, Y Kikon thanked Renponthung Ezung for having concern to help his village people by sponsoring the free health camp. He further said that even though Dr TM, a veteran politician from the village is no more, God is raising a genuine leader in the person of Renponthng Ezung.
