BJP workers asked to work hard

Dimapur, March 27 (MExN): The BJP Nagaland unit held its executive meeting at Bookmarc conference hall on March 26, 2014. Parliamentary Secretary for Transport, P. Paiwang Konyak, state office bearers and district presidents and general secretaries attended the meeting.

P. Paiwang exhorted the gathering to work steadfastly for the party’s development “as better days are in the offing,” stated a press release issued by Secretary, Media in-charge, BJP Jaangsillung Gonmei. He emphasized on discipline calling it the only mantra to take the party where it should be for the betterment of all. P. Paiwang also encouraged the ex BJP candidates to be confident despite the first hurdles and look forward to a much better political future by contributing tirelessly to the party’s efforts, including garnering votes for the DAN candidate Neiphiu Rio. He also asked the party workers to work towards the grand success of the DAN candidate, adding that anyone failing to do so would attract the party’s disciplinary actions because the decision to support the DAN candidate was the decision of the Central BJP leaders.

The parliamentary secretary also welcomed Cheong Konyak, ex Independent candidate of 46 Mon town A/C into the party and looked forward to his valuable contribution in broadening and strengthening the party.

Dr. Kakheto, Radiologist and an ex minister, explained the real possibility of the BJP party faring very well nationally as well as in the state. Excepting a few pockets where the DAN has to be cautious, he exuded confidence that it will be a landslide victory.

Meanwhile, the release said, Dr. M. Chuba highlighted the chronicle of the party’s rise to popularity with the formal recognition of Modi and briefed on the decision leading to the support of DAN consensus candidate Neiphiu Rio for Lok Sabha polls. Rakhila, senior state executive member and ex BJP candidate from Tuensang sardar II offered the opening prayer and also encouraged the party workers to work hard for the party. The party workers were unanimous to work hard for DAN consensus candidate, Neiphiu Rio, the release added.
