Nagaland state BJP today sang sweet tune on the leadership and vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 70th birthday today. Nagaland state BJP has launched various welfare activities to mark Sewa Saptah (Service Week) from September 14 to 20 in celebration of 70th birthday of Modi.
Among the many activities includes; presentation of artificial limbs and other equipments to differently abled persons, presentation of spectacles, distribution of fruits in hospitals, blood donation camp, tree plantation, cleanliness drive etc.
“Narendra Modi is an inspiration to the youth and also to all the people of the country. Today, he is the most successful politician and Prime Minister of India,” stated BJP Nagaland publication.
Pray for Modi’s leadership to bring prosperity
Through special programme (Semi-Virtual) held at the state BJP office here this morning, Nagaland state BJP president Temjen Imna Along prayed Modi’s leadership to bring prosperity to the people in the form of the greatest need of peace to prevail in Nagaland and “May his leadership last long and build the foundation of democratic, secular and prosperous India in the 21st century.”
“We have prime minister in the form of Narendra Modi of whom we are immensely proud and humble that he is a leader that led the party and nation with a difference,” said Along.
Touching on the vision of Modi on farmers, Along said that Government of India has been paying its trust on the farmers of the nation to do well, to be self reliant India through the goal that he (Modi) has envision in his policy making towards the people of the country.
“Our Prime Minister has envision to take along the poorest of the poor, widow, women, farmers, uneducated persons, entrepreneurs, dreamers to be the power house of this nation,” said Along.
Touching on Indo- Naga political issue, Along called upon the people of Nagaland to come together, be united and be strong.
He also challenged the people to dream for prosperous Nagaland, golden Nagaland and opportune Nagaland.
On undertaking a tree plantation starting from Kohima, the state BJP president said “We want to see a more greener Nagaland. We want to see a more environment friendly Nagaland, a more greener India and a more prosperous India.”
‘Service should be the goal’
He challenged BJP Karyakartas to be the leaders who serve, the leaders who know the problem of the poorest of the poor, the leaders who do something for the poor and the needy and the leaders whose attitude is humility.
“Service should be the goal of BJP Karyakartas,” Along said adding that “service is our attitude and lifestyle.”
He also told the gathering that the envision for “Sakba Saath, Sabka Vikas” (Together with all, development for all)” has always been our strength.
‘Build strong BJP Nagaland’
Along said that there may be some difference in the BJP in Nagaland today. In this, he appealed for “Forgive and forget” to build strong BJP Nagaland.
On 3.65 lakh BJP members in Nagaland at present, Along thanked the people of Nagaland for reposing their trust in the leadership of Narendra Modi, union home minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda.
Along said that BJP is the party with a difference, the world’s largest party with more than 17 crore members.
He said that BJP shall base its organizational values on the ideology of service.
Special prayer for PM of India
During the special programme in honour of the 70th birthday of Narendra Modi, Temjenmongba Sempo, pastor KABA (Kohima Ao Baptist Church) led a special prayer for Prime Minister of India.
The function was chaired by Deep Kumar, president, State Minority Morcha while Lovili Swu, general secretary State ST Morcha read out short biography of Narendra Modi.
Rev. G. Kiyeto Sema, pastor SABCK pronounced invocation while vote of thanks was proposed by BJP state spokesperson Nyimathung Odyuo.
