BJP’s communal politics solely responsible for Mnp violence: JD (U)

DIMAPUR MAY 30 (MExN): Blaming BJP’s communal politics for the present unrest in Manipur, Janata Dal (United) national general secretary, in-charge of north-east, Afaque Ahmad Khan on Tuesday claimed that whenever the BJP’s hold in a state gets weak, violent incidents increases there.

Alleging the BJP of making two communities fight with each other in the wake of the anger growing in the public against the government, Khan said hundreds of people have died in this conflict and thousands of families have had to leave their homes. He also said children’s education has suffered, people’s business has collapsed, but BJP is still not ready to wake up.

Targeting Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah on their vested politics, the JD (U) general secretary stated that in states like Bihar, Jharkhand and Rajasthan even when there is a normal criminal incident, the BJP people start beating their chest, but even after gruesome violence in Manipur, “Modi-Shah duo did not even utter words of sympathy for the people of Manipur.”

It further alleged that the Modi-Shah duo did not take any initiative regarding the students of Bihar who were suffering from hunger & thirst due to the government’s faulty policy. On the other hand, it said Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar showed concern by sending special aircraft to Manipur and bringing its students safely back to Bihar.

Khan pointed out that just as the peace of a beautiful state like Manipur was destroyed by creating rift between communities, the BJP was also trying, albeit unsuccessfully, to do the same experiment in Bihar.

Claiming that the recent incidents in Bihar were not a coincidence, but a deliberate experiment of BJP leader’s politics of hatred, division and greed for power, Khan stated, “Like in Manipur, there was lot of attempts to set fire, which was thwarted by the vigilance of the Bihar government and the police administration.”
