BJYM Nagaland unit calls for unity of NPGs

Dimapur, April 1 (MExN): The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Nagaland Unit has lauded the three Naga Political Groups (NPGs), namely NSCN/GPRN, GPRN/NSCN, and NNC/FGN for signing the “Lenten agreement” after a two-day get-together on March 27 & 28 2014, under the auspices of Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR).

BJYM in a press communiqué recognized the leaders of the three NPGs for “taking shrewd verdict for the cause of Naga long cherished dreams,” which was initiated by the team of FNR. BJYM also appealed to the remaining Naga political groups to unite under the aegis of FNR in peace and co-exist among the Naga inhabitants in the region.

Further, it expressed hope that the signatories of NPGs will lead the Naga society towards better future.  Stating that Naga freedom struggle was instituted in early 1918 under the banner of Naga Club (NC), and the movement is about to be a century old, BJYM Nagaland asserted that Naga Political Group leaders require to move forward with optimism and sympathy for the greater interest of the Nagas.
