Blended Colours lift 1st Medziphema Sixers Tournament

Players of Blended Colours who won the 1st Medziphema Sixers Tournament. 

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 25 (MExN): Blended Colours Cricket Club lifted the 1st Medziphema Sixers Tournament by beating ‘Cockroach B Team’ by 38 runs in the final played at the Government Higher Secondary School ground.

Put on to bat first after losing the toss, Blended colours scored a total of 75 runs in six overs for the loss of two wickets. While chasing, ‘Cockroach B’ was bowled out for 37 runs. 

The three day tournament which began on September 21 was organized by Frolic Club and saw eight teams competing against each other for the top prize in a format played with six players for six overs each. 

Arong of Blended Colours was adjusted Man of the Match in the final match for his all-round performance of scoring 37 runs in 9 balls and capturing two wickets. Moalong who scored a staggering 208 runs in the tournament was adjusted man of the series.  Wati of Private Cricket Club was adjudged the best bowler of the tournament.

During the prize distribution ceremony, the convener of the organizing committee, Tali thanked all the teams, match officials and public for their support towards the successful completion of the tournament. All the winners were handed out cash prizes along with certificates.
