Kohima, March 20 (MExN): Under the aegis of National Health Mission (NHM), the District Health Society, Kohima in convergence with allied department – Administration, Education, Social Welfare, Village Council & Village Health Nutrition & Sanitation Committee organised a Block Health Mela at Mengujuma village council hall on March 20.
An update received here stated that during the health mela various health activities are carried out in the district for overall health benefit of the public. Under the initiatives of the District Health Society, the platform is to reached for the benefits of public and to avail quality health care services with essential medicines through different systems of medicine at free of cost, FGDs on ANC, FP & Exclusive Breastfeeding imparted by DCM/FWA & BAC. The health mela also caters on the importance of timely investigation, detection and treatment of any health issues, it added.
