Kohima, February 19 (MExN): The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Kohima, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, Nagaland State Branch (IRCSN), and the Blood Bank of Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima (NHAK), organised a blood donation camp on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the RBI. The camp was held at the conference room, 1st Floor, RBI Kohima on February 18.

The event was aimed at promoting voluntary blood donation and addressing the ongoing need for blood supply in hospitals. Individuals came forward to donate blood, contributing to the life-saving cause and exemplifying the spirit of humanitarian service, stated a press release issued by General Secretary IRCS, Nagaland State Branch Kohima. Speaking at the event, officials from RBI Kohima emphasised the importance of corporate social responsibility and the role of institutions in community service. General Secretary Akhale V Khamo from IRCSN extended appreciation to the donors for their selfless act and highlighted the critical role of voluntary blood donation in saving lives. Dr Avila Sangtam from NHAK spoke on the importance of blood donation.
