Blue Star wins VBC’s T20 Cricket C’ship

Dimapur, May 21 (MExN): The 3rd edition of T 20 Cricket Championship organized by youth department of Viyito Baptist Church at Viyito village ground under Niuland sub division concluded on Friday.  

Blue Star Cricket Club lifted the running championship trophy after defeating last year’s champion P. Vihoto XI in the final. The champions walked away with cash prize of Rs. 20,000 along with trophy and certificates while the runners up received Rs. 12,500. Bishnu of Vihoto XI was adjudged the player of the tournament while Pawan Chettri of Vihoto XI emerged as highest wicket taker.   Guest of honour at the closing function Arsapa Chophi, BJP president, 4thGhaspani – I assembly constituency, gave away the prizes to the winners. Altogether 20 teams from all over Dimapur district participated in the event.
