Body found near NH in Jakhama

Song Song Village appeals to public for relevant information Kohima, October 29 (MExN): The body of one Abel Pfokrelo was found at Jakhama town along the National Highway on Friday morning. Earlier, according to the police, the body was found at around 6.40 am on October 28 and had remained unidentified till afternoon. However, a press release from the Song Song Village Authority identified the deceased as Abel Pfokrelo. “Our son,” the village authority stated, was found with lacerated injury on the right leg, caused by sharp instrument.   “The manner in which the dead body was found is highly suspicious of foul play/brutal murder,” the Village Authority stated and in this regard, appealed to the public to provide any relevant information relating to the possible cause of his death. It informed that late Prokrelo had gone to Kohima on October 27 to purchase 20 litres of paints and was supposed to return on the same evening. The Village Authority further thanked citizens of Jakhama for taking care of late Pfokrelo. Song Song is a village under Mao-Maram subdivision in Senapati District.
