Kohima, June 25 (MExN): The book titled ‘A Naga Story’ authored by Edward Lotha was released on June 24 in Kohima by Revered Dr James Thoppil, Bishop of Kohima Diocese.

While congratulating the author, Rev Dr James Thoppil said that what Edward is elucidating through the book is A Naga Story in a very simple narrative of a contemporary life experience of most Naga youth in a multi-cultural and multiracial context of a macro world that offers limitless choices. He mentioned that at the end of reading the book, one gets a glimpse into the realistic picture of push and pulls the contemporary Naga youth faces in life, both with its utopian and unrealistic expectations and the actual struggles and concrete daily reality one is confronted.

In his speech, the author said, ‘A Naga Story’ is a contextualised perspective within a simple story. He wrote the book in the context of racism among others from his lived experiences and he hopes to instil in the Naga youth a sense of self-esteem and feel proud to be a Naga through the book.
