Book titled ‘The Adventures of Little Zeno’ launched

Dimapur, July 25 (MExN): A children’s book titled, ‘The Adventures of Little Zeno’ by Nzanmongi Jasmine Patton with Corrina Humtsoe as the illustrator was launched at the Book Gallery, New Delhi on July 22. It was published by the Publications Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, stated a press release received here. 

The book was launched by Professor GJV Prasad, Former Professor, Jawaharlal Nehru University, in the company of Monideepa, Director General, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dr Veio Pou, Associate Professor, University of Delhi, and Dr Zuchamo Yanthan, Professor, IGNOU.

During the launch, the author, Jasmine, said that the book is very close to her heart, more so because she wrote it keeping her firstborn Sungtiben Zeno Chiara Walling in mind, hence the title “The Adventures of Little Zeno”.

Nzanmongi Jasmine Patton is an Associate Professor in the Department of English, Gargi College, University of Delhi. She has written texts for the Literature-Culture specialization of the MA(F) Program in Women’s & Gender Studies, IGNOU, 2013, and has been an Advisor for the Department of Education in Social Sciences, NCERT. She authored her first book, a collection of folktales titled, ‘A Girl Swallowed by a Tree: Lotha Naga Tales Retold’ in 2017.
