Books on State Agri Plan and ATMA success stories released

Kohima, June 9 (MExN): State Level Sanctioning Committee meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary, Pankaj Kumar IAS on June 8 at Chief Secretary’s Conference Hall, Kohima.  

The meeting highlight was release of books prepared by Agriculture Department including, State Agriculture Plan released by Amitabh Gautam, State Extension Work Plan of ATMA for 2016-17 released by Pankaj Kumar, Chief Secretary and ATMA success stories was released by V. Kezo OSD (Gen & Bud) Finance.  

The meeting was attended by Commissioner & Secretaries and HoDs of Agri & allied departments. Amitabh Gautam IAS, Joint Secretary Ministry of Agriculture, Co-operation & Farmers Welfare represented Government of India. The meeting was held in connection with formal approval of RKVY for the year 2016-17 and other CSS programmes that requires SLSC approval.

The Chief Secretary gave introduction of the meeting and the purpose for which this meeting was called.T. Imkonglemba Ao IAS who is the Agriculture Production Commissioner & Commissioner & Secretary Agriculture gave power point presentation on review of RKVY programme in the State. The review includes points to be considered by SLSC and Action Plan of RKVY submitted by each line departments. Detail discussion was held on the action plan with views and comments from the Chairman and Ministry representative. All departments gave clarifications by giving justifications for each project that are proposed during 2016-17.  

All action Plan proposed for the year was accordingly approved with necessary correction as per Ministry Division’s comments.
