DIMAPUR, JULY 19 (MExN): The monthly Peren District Planning and Development Board (DPDB), at its meeting held on July 18 at DC's Conference Hall, Peren, agreed to approve the LADP Schemes, including common pool and iconic projects, in respect of 6 Tening A/C and 7 Peren A/C. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy CM and chairman DPDB Peren, TR Zeliang.
In the meeting, the board recommended the proposal for setting up a fire station at Peren Town; opening of Genesis School at Jalukie; upgradation of police outpost Heningkunglwa to police station, and the renovation of ADC Hq at Peren Town.
On the agenda of re-constitution of the boundary committee for the new district Hq, the board agreed to re-constitute a committee with DC Peren as the chairman. The meeting also deliberated on the agenda of the upgradation of government high school Heningkunglwa to higher secondary. For this, the board decided to entrust DEO Peren to prepare a detailed report and submit it at the next meeting.
Deputy CM TR Zeliang, in his concluding remark, advised the district planning officer to maintain a proper record of attendance record during DPDB meetings. He also asked the members to be regular as important issues about the district are discussed during the monthly DPDB meeting.
