Mariani, November 23 (MExN): Border Peace Coordination Committee (Assam-Nagaland) organised a consultative meeting with the teachers from Jungle Block and Bongshi Gopal High School (BGHS) located near Assam-Nagaland border and the Friendship Forum of Tzurangkong at Jungle Block High School (JBHS) on November 23.
The Friendship Forum (Tembayim Committee) of Tzurangkong led by its members including Tzurangkong Katetshir Mungdang, President Pangertoba Pongen attended the meeting, stated a press release received here.
The meeting resolved to organise a three-day student’s exchange programme for the students from BGHS and JBHS from January 30 to February 1, 2025 to Tzurangkong Government High School. It was decided to invite 30 students from the two schools along with few teachers and parents. The Friendship Forum and Tzurangkong Kaketshir Mungsang will facilitate the incoming participants for accommodation with ration through the participation of households from Chungtiayimsen and Watiyim villages by sponsoring one student and parents.
These villages are situated adjacent to the Tzurangkong GHS while guest teachers of the two visiting schools will be sponsored by Tzurangkong High School teachers.
“Meaningful activities and quality times are planned for the student community during these three-day sessions while the parents and teachers from Assam will also be blessed with connecting amongst themselves in a most appropriate manner for an everlasting friendship,” it stated.
