Brand Nagaland has greater global recognition: CM

Kohima, December 13 (MExN): The Hornbill Festival was a grand success and despite all the challenges and hurdles, it has once again pushed Brand Nagaland towards greater international recognition in a positive manner, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio stated on Tuesday.

Lauding the State Tourism Department and all stakeholders on the successful conduct of the 23rd Edition of the Hornbill Festival, he said that the festival has achieved its prime aspiration of preserving, promoting, and popularising the rich culture and heritage of the Naga people.

It was achieved in a manner that creates a sustainable economy and generates employment for our youth under our slogan and policy of 'Land of Festivals,' Rio added in a congratulatory message.

According to the State DIPR, the Chief Minister also conveyed in the message the appreciation of the State Government to all the government agencies, tribal organisations, NGOs, civil societies and church organisations, event management groups, and participants who positively contributed towards the grand success of 2022 edition.

"We are also grateful to the thousands of tourists - international, domestic, and local - who have visited the dozens of festival venues and events and added to the success story. We appeal to our friends to kindly forgive us for the shortfalls and do visit us again with more friends and loved ones," the message added.
