Kohima, March 17 (MExN): A two-day Packaging, Branding and Marketing (PBM) workshop under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) initiative held in Kiphire and Phek witnessed strong participation from entrepreneurs, MSMEs and aspiring business owners, an official release stated.
The workshops were conducted in Kiphire on March 12–13 and in Phek from March 16–17 by the Department of Industries and Commerce (DIC) in collaboration with the Nagaland Industrial Development Corporation (NIDC) Ltd.
Altogether, 76 participants attended in Kiphire and 63 in Phek, reflecting growing interest in enhancing market readiness and business competitiveness, the release said.
The inaugural sessions were led by General Manager, DIC Kiphire, Y Intsangju Sangtam, and Functional Manager, Sub-DIC Phek, Atrise Sangtam, who encouraged participants to focus on branding, quality packaging, digital presence and effective marketing to expand market reach.

Resource persons from Sigmadesign and Northeast Unexplored, Guwahati, conducted sessions on brand identity, packaging design, digital assets, marketing strategies, sales channels and customer retention.
Participants engaged in interactive and practical sessions, gaining insights into scaling up enterprises and improving product presentation and outreach. Many appreciated the hands-on approach, noting that it provided clarity and actionable guidance.
The initiative is expected to strengthen grassroots entrepreneurship, enhance local value chains and promote inclusive economic growth in the state, the release added.
