Dimapur, April 26 (MExN): Irked by government apathy and continued neglect towards the condition of roads, the Brick Field Union, Dimapur repaired the PWD road connecting Darogajan village to Bamunpukhuri and Zani Village under Dimapur District covering about 5 km approx on April 24 and 25.
A joint press release from the Village Councils of Bamunpukhuri, New Bamunpukhuri and Zani village informed that the repairing work has been completed by metaling with sand gravel but added, “there is much to be added to the noble effort of the union”.
The road repairing on the said stretch was earlier undertaken back in the year August 2012 by the Joint Council of the Area, the release informed. The joint village councils further expressed their appreciation to the Union for their efforts in making the roads better.
Arguing that many lives are affected due to the terrible condition of the said road, the joint village councils also appealed to the Government to construct the road at the earliest.
