People of Ghathashi administrative area and Pughoboto sub-division celebrate the construction of hanging bridge between Ghathashi- Iphonumi.
Dimapur, June 3 (MExN): A hanging bridge between Ghathashi- Iphonumi connecting Hebolimi on Tsuyi River was constructed with the initiatives of Y. Vikheho Swu, NPF candidate for 13 A/C Pughoboto. The Ghathashi Adhoc Town Council and Hebolimi village council on the behalf of the people of Ghathashi administrative area and Pughoboto sub-division in a joint press note lauded Swu for his generous and benevolent act.
The note stated that this is the first time in history for people living around this area to witness vehicle plying even during peak monsoon when the river is high. The hanging bridge constructed jeep-able will surely boost the moral of the people thereby enhance their activities leading to promotion of economic and social well being in the area. It has particularly done a lot of benefit and great relieve to the people of Hebolimi in general and their students studying in Ghathashi town in particular as they would have the privilege of crossing the river on foot or on vehicle with security from now on.
