seminar venue shifted
The venue of the seminar organized by the Nagaland State Legal Services Authority has been shifted from The Heritage to the Badminton Stadium, Raj Bhavan Road, Kohima. All interested persons have been requested to take note of this change in venue. The seminar will be held on December 3, 2011 and from 6:00pm at the Badminton Stadium, Raj Bhavan Road, Kohima.
NSCN Khaplang suspends Kilonser
DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 1 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN Khaplang as a follow up to what it stated was “it’s commitment to curb criminalisation of the Naga issue by vested interests” has suspended Kilonser Peter for one year; the suspension order takes effect from 29th November 2011. According to a press note issued by the MIP, it has been established beyond doubt that Kilonser Peter personally planned and executed the 22nd November kidnapping of KT. Joseph, PS to Education Minister, Govt. of Manipur and collected a ransom of Rupees thirty lakhs (Rs.3000000) before freeing the victim. Besides this dastard criminal act, several criminal charges are still pending against Peter for which an independent inquiry has been instituted, the MIP note informed. Involvement of any other official is being probed and similar action shall be initiated if found culpable, it stated. Meantime, Peter has been stripped off of official authority and functions till further notice.
