Bright Morning Star Children Home located at Perizie Colony here today observed its 4th anniversary with much zest and pomp.
Joint Secretary of Social Welfare Department Z. Nyusietho Nyuthe graced the occasion as the chief guest and complimented the Home for taking care of the children in education and other fields. In recognition of its commendable job, Nyuthe assured that he will put forward the proposal for extending assistance to the Home from the government side.
Hekani Jakhalu Kense, Chair, Executive Council, YouthNet also exhorted the gathering and lauded Abi Angami, who created the home and space for children. She also stressed on the need to start looking at children issues apart from showing sympathy to orphanage or children home.
Perizeie Colony chairman Akhie Liezietsu also blessed the children to have a successful career and bright future.
Earlier, Abi Angami, President, IDEAL (W) Charitable Society said Bright Morning Star Children Home began with the intention of being a beacon of hope and inspiration for the children who otherwise would have become unfortunate victims of poverty and malnutrition. “Here, we look after our precious kids with love and care, meeting the basic requirements needed for any child to grow up,” she added.
Naga Idol finalist 2010 Kekhriesenuo Ringa enthralled the gathering with a special number.
The programme was followed by “A Night of Music & Giving” in aid of Bright Morning Star Children Home.”
