Chedema, December 4 (MExN): Dr. KC Mahali, IPS, Inspector General, Mizoram & Cachar Frontier on December 1 visited Unit’s deployed in Counter Insurgency Operations Role in Nagaland, under Sector Manipur. Dr Mahali visited 93 Bn BSF located at Chedema and took stock of operational and security scenario. The Inspector General was briefed by Sh Surinder Singh, Commandant 93 Bn BSF in detail about the responsibility. He was accompanied by Sh Anand Singh , DIG Sector Manipur, Sh J. C. Nayak , DIG (G) Ftr HQ and other senior officers. On December 2, Dr. Mahali alaongwith other senior BSF Officer’s paid a visit to the Chief Minister and Governor of Nagaland. During his three days’ mainden tour to Nagaland, the IG interacted with BSF Jawans and also chaired Sanik Sammellan and told them about various welfare activities for them and asked them to remain security conscious at all time as miscreants have been randomly targeting all the secuty forces in nagaland. A 120 men’s Jawan barrack was inaugurated by Inspector General at Chedema under 93 BN BSF while Smt Vijaya Mahali, BAWA, President inaugurated a Type – IV residential building for the welfare of Officers, Sos and jawans deployed in Nagaland. She also interacted with the wives of the Officers, subordinate officers’s and Jawans. The inspector general appreiated the way troos are performing their duties in the CI enviroment.
