Dimapur, October 15 (MExN): The Bible Society of India (BSI) released the Nokte Bible (Asathoan Nyapkhaa) on October 14 at NBAR Mission Centre Poakkoan, Arunachal Pradesh.
Releasing the Bible, Auxiliary Secretary, BSI Dimapur Rev Dr Yiepetso Wezah expressed his appreciation to the translator, checking committee members, sponsor and Pacific RIM Mission International.
He also lauded the leadership of the NBAR and all the Churches for their constant prayer support.
Wezah further encouraged them to read and reflect on the Scriptures, as they now have the words of God in their native language.
Stating that the Bible is "living and active," the Auxiliary Secretary asserted that it is a life-changing book, unlike any other in the world that can transform lives as profoundly as the Holy Bible.
The words of God will never pass away and Jesus gives special task to pray, watch and witness him till he returns to receive the believers, he exhorted.
As per a press release, ceremony was attended by representatives of 54 Churches under Nokte Baptist Asathem Roapkhhoan (NBAR), Poakkoam as well as Rev Asenjungba Imsong, Former Field Director, NBAR; and Tialiba, Regional Director, Pacific RIM, Mission International, USA.
It also featured greetings by Lowangdong, MLA 57 Borduia Boganpani A/C and a report by Translator Rev Thokwang Mema, Translator.
Special songs were also presented by NBAR Choir, Khonsa Baptist Church Choir and Poakkoam English School.
