
Dimapur, December 4 (MExN): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee, Minority Department today sought the attention of the concerned authority to what it claimed as increased incident of burglary in Marawari Patti & Westyard Kalibari locality.
The residents of the locality are facing this threatening issue for more than six months now, stated a press release from Rajesh Kumar Sethi, Incharge of Minority Dept & Enrolment NPCC, citing theft even at his own building.
The burglary began with theft of AC wires and outside AC Unit, Electrical Kit Kat, Electrical wires etc and after a gap of a week, such incidents increased and became more alarming, it maintained.
It has become a serious hindrance to smooth day to day life and many residents are frightened and insecure and unnecessarily blaming their servants and Chowkidars, it added.
The theft could be drug-related, it further opined.
While residents have made complaints to their respective SIs and local police station, but no culprits have been caught so far, the release said, further requesting the authority for patrolling by at least two policemen during the day and night.
With the onset of festive season, the NPCC Minority Department urged the concerned authority to look into it seriously and called for a vigil in the area 24X7 to stop such activities and nab the culprit as early as possible.
