60 participants from 10 schools took part in the BKJ Quiz Competition & National Group Song Competition on November 6.

Dimapur, November 10 (MExN): Bharat Vikas Parishad, a national socio-cultural organization, organized a state level ‘Bharat Ko Jano (BKJ) Quiz Competition & National Group Song Competition (NGSC)’ at Rotary Club Auditorium, on November 6 in the presence of Jagadindu Deb, North Eastern Zone Regional, General Secretary.
The competition was conducted with the participation of 10 Schools and 60 participants informed a press release issued by BVP Dimapur Secretary Arijit Sharma. The selected groups will be participating in Regional Competition of Bharat Vikas Parishad on November 13 at Dimapur, and qualify for National Level Competition, to be held at Rajasthan in the last week of December, it said.
According to the release, Vidya Bhawan Higher Secondary School won the BKJ Quiz Competition in Category A while Ram Janaki HSS was the runner-up. For category B, Ram Janaki HSS was the winner and SD Jain HSS the runner-up. Other winners of the BKJ Quiz Competition were Gamadi Vidya Bharati School and Ram Janaki HSS as runner-up.
Dr Amos Lkr, Managing Director, Health Nursing College and Tikaram Dhakal, Social Worker, graced the programme as special guests and addressed the gathering to encourage students and youth. Guest speaker of the programme was Dr Dalia Bhattacharjee from SD Jain Girls College and other speakers included Pankaj Sinha, coordinator of Vidya Bharati; YP Gupta, President BVP; Santu Thapa, President BVP Kohima; Bishnu Bhattacharjee, Regional Joint General Secretary, North East Region; and Juel Acharjee, Coordinator of the competition.
The quiz competition was conducted by Ashim Debnath and the programme was anchored by Sudipta Chakraborty and Puja Das Paul. Judges of the NGSC Competition were Sharmila Choudhury, Falguni Sharma and Kamal Acharjee, it said.
Meanwhile, the BVP North East Cultural Forum extended Lifetime Achievement Award to Sabita Acharjee, Senior Citizen of Dimapur for her service in the field of music and culture in Dimapur, since last four decades. BVP awarded Sonali Lodh, who participated in the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav on August 15, 2022, as BVP Youth Talent of Nagaland.
