Set for 60-show street play tour in collaboration with Nagaland State Aids Control Society

Dimapur, November 18 (MExN): BZ Entertainment, a Drama and Film Society, is set to embark on an unprecedented journey to elevate HIV awareness in Nagaland through an expansive 60-show street play tour.

Collaborating with the Nagaland State Aids Control Society (NSACS), this initiative aims to enlighten communities across the state on HIV transmission, prevention, testing, and the imperative need to combat stigma and discrimination, stated an update received here.

The inaugural show in Dimapur on November 17 marked the beginning of an extensive tour covering six districts: Dimapur, Kohima, Kiphire, Peren, Tuensang, and Noklak.

“BZ Entertainment’s ambitious plan involves delivering 10 impactful Street Plays in each district, ensuring a comprehensive and engaging outreach,” the release stated.

The areas they covered included Naga United Village, Chümoukedima 2nd Gate, Super Market, Showuba junction, Unity Village Bazaar, Vihokhu Village, Niuland Town, Green Park, Diphupar Village and Thahekhu Village.

It stated that the carefully crafted street play/drama weaves together essential facts about HIV, emphasizing its routes of transmission and the crucial role of testing. Following each performance, the NSACS Mobile Integrated Counselling and Testing Centre (MICTC) team will provide free blood tests for HIV and counseling services, delivering vital information and support to the audience.

“BZ Entertainment believes in the transformative power of art and culture to drive societal change, and this collaboration stands as a beacon of their commitment to using creative expression as a catalyst for positive transformation,” it added.
