C-Edge College Mr Fresher Hoto I Assumi and Ms Fresher Bendangsenla Alinger during the 12th freshers meet held on July 12.
Chümoukedima, July 13 (MExN): C-Edge College, Naga United Village, Chümoukedima celebrated its 12th freshers meet, after a week of various events cumulating to the fresher’s day on July 12.
A press release received here stated that the freshers meet was graced by Advisor, Youth Resources & Sports, S Keoshu Yimkhiung. In his speech, the Advisor reminded the students about the rise of educated unemployed in Nagaland where opportunity is less in the government sector and only students who gives extra efforts has the chance to succeed.
He stressed on the importance of standing on their own and to start enterprises or become entrepreneurs. He requests the students not to be dependent on the government alone. He encouraged the students to change their mindset and start their own venture and also gives employment to others.
C-Edge College, Principal, Dr Chubatola Aier presided over the College Awards. She mentioned that due to the clash of the dates with the result declaration and the freshers meet, Laurel Awards and other merit awards will be presented in a separate felicitation programme.
The Star and the Best Star Attendance awards were given out.
Mr & Ms Freshers were bagged by Hoto I Assumi of BBA I Semester and Bendangsenla Alinger of BA I Semester respectively. Sub titles for Best Ethnic and Talent were also declared.
