C-Edge College conducts EU orientation & field trip

Students of C-edge College of Arts & Management during the field trip to ancient ruins of the Kachari Rajbari in Dimapur on April 9.

Dimapur, April 11 (MExN): The C-Edge Evangelical Union had its one day orientation on March 23. The resource persons were Edward, Staff-worker UESI-Nagaland; Priscilla Tungoe, City Co-ordinator UESI-Nagaland and David Koza, EGF Dimapur. A press note received here stated that the aim of the orientation was to equip the students to be responsible leaders in the Students circle especially as active EU members.

The Evangelical Union in-charge, Nivibo Y. Sumi, Assistant Professor (Sociology), shared that the college endeavors to imbibe amongst the students a more comprehensive set of understanding of education, so that education itself is not the end but a means for a higher quality of life.

It may be noted here that the C-Edge College Evangelical Union, which was formed since the inception of the College has been nurturing and spiritually guiding the students to be not only Good Christians but also responsible citizens. As such, the college has been extending full support towards the EU activities.

Meanwhile, with an aim to enable the students to gain better understanding of historical and cultural perspectives from a local context apart from textbook learning, C-Edge College of Arts & Management conducted a field trip on April 9 and visited the ancient ruins of the Kachari Rajbari, Nagaland Science Centre and the NEZCC Stone Sculpture Garden.

A project work was assigned to the students by the Department of History and Archaeology to enhance the process of learning from their experience of visiting the different sites. The students were thoroughly invigorated and learned a lot after visiting the Kachari Ancient Rajbari (Ruins)and also after to the Nagaland Science Centre and the Stone Sculpture Garden.

The teachers in charge, Dingupe Lasuh Asst. Professor (History & Archaeology), on behalf of the Students and Faculty Members, extended heartfelt gratitude to College Principal, President and Administrator for this opportunity and for granting all the necessities and also thanked the Faculty members and staff for full support and co-operation.
