Dimapur, July 6 (MExN): C-Edge College fresher’s week concluded with the finale programme at the college auditorium on July 6.
The week-long event for the new students kick started with the grooming session on basic etiquettes, parameters and standards. This was followed by the introductory round, ethnic fusion round, talent round and the grand finale with question answer round. This year Mr & Ms Freshers 2018 were D. Esther Sonar of BBA I semester and Anguka N. Achumi of BA I semester, with Yukholi Sangtam of BBA I semester and Imnaienla Longkumer of BA I semester as Runners up. There was also subtitle winners based on talents and creativity (ethnic fusion attire).
The Freshers Week final programme started with invocation by Vilivi MChophy, college EU President followed by a welcome speech by the Principal, Dr. Chubatola Aier. Aier exhorted all the freshers who have joined the family of C-Edge to keep true to the college motto of ‘Aspire’ and to reach the ultimate potential.
Er. Moa Aier, the President of the college presided over the Pledge of Allegiance with the freshers. The Evangelical Union (EU) group presented a special choreography. Speech on behalf of the Seniors and Freshers were given by Imchakumla Longkumer of BBA III semester and Anguka N Achumi of BA I semester respectively. The felicitation and awards was presided by Daisy Shitio, Academic Dean where students were endowed based on their good attendance record and academic excellence. The M.S Ramanathan Award for EVS topper was bagged by Abhigail Hengkong of BBA V Semester.
The programme concluded with vote of thanks and benediction by Meyatemsu, HoD of English and Nokchachila, Assistant Professor respectively.
