With the aim to provide more options and career opportunities for the younger generation, C-Edge College, Dimapur launched the OTHM UK Certified Hospitality Management diploma/degree programme in partnership with Matrix Overseas Education Consultants, New Delhi on June 29.
The programme was launched by Temjenkala Aier, Joint Secretary of Nagaland Hotel & Restaurants Association (NHRA) and the proprietor of Aier's Enclave.
Aier in her speech mentioned that now is the perfect time to groom and prepared Naga youth for a bright future. She added that through these programme, lots of youngsters can be made into working professionals and also young entrepreneurs can be moulded.
The event was also attended by Ajesh Gugnani, Director and Shika Sharma of Matrix Infosys Education Consultants. Gugnani in his program introduction speech gave brief information about hospitality management requirements. He said that this certified programme guarantees a 100 percent job assurances with internship training at the best hospitality organisations around the world.
Anirban Mukerjee, Operations Manager, Emporium Training & Consultancy Pvt. Ltd was also present at the programme. While giving a short talk on hospitality management, he mentioned that the hospitality industry is the second largest and thus the job opportunity in this sector is also vast.
The entire launch programme was chaired by Nancy Lovika, Assistant Professor of Sociology Department. The welcome address was presided by Daisy Shitio, Academic Dean. The event also featured a special song by Peuningle Zeliang of BA III Semester.
Vote of thanks was delivered by Inza, Assistant Professor of Management Studies Department. The programme concluded with an interactive session with the guests about the diploma course and on hospital management. C-Edge College established in 2012 is located at Naga United Village, Dimapur.
