KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 6 (MExN): The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year with a series of events, including the launch of the RBI90Quiz, a nationwide general knowledge-based quiz competition aimed at undergraduate students. The quiz is part of the bank’s year-long celebrations to mark its nine decades of operations.
The RBI90Quiz is a team-based competition held in multiple stages. The online phase of the quiz took place from September 19 to 21, after which the top-performing teams were selected to participate in the State-level rounds.
On November 6, the State-level round for Nagaland was conducted at RCEMPA, Jotsoma, Kohima, where 82 students from 41 teams across various colleges competed. The team from C-Edge College, consisting of Thejasikho Vakha and Lachimbah, emerged as the winners. The second and third places were secured by teams from Tetso College and Dimapur Government College, respectively. Lentinchon Luke Hangshing and Bishal Das from Tetso College finished in second place, while Akolendang and Aghato K Chophy from Dimapur Government College placed third.
Prizes for the top three teams were awarded as follows: Rs 2 lakh for first place, Rs 1.5 lakh for second place, and Rs 1 lakh for third place. The winning team will now advance to the Zonal round, which is scheduled for November 29. The national final of the RBI90Quiz will take place in Mumbai in December 2024.
