Nagaland U-23 team after winning the match at Bhubaneswar
Dimapur, November 4 (MExN): Capitalising on their blazing first innings performance, Nagaland today defeated Sikkim by an innings and 346 runs with almost a day and half to spare in the first four-day match of the ongoing C K Nayudu (U-23) Men’s Trophy at Bhubaneswar.
In their second innings and trailing by 488 runs, Sikkim were bowled out for measly 142, conceding the game by an innings and 346 runs. Nagaho and Nadim from Nagaland took 4 wickets each while Shanwang and Akavi claimed 1 each.
Nagaland, on November 3, declared their 1st innings at 634/5 after bowling out its opponents for 146 runs.
Vinayak scored 214 for Nagaland while Tanay and Arvind scored 156 and 100 (n.o) respectively. Another 88 runs by Samarat resulted in the massive total.
