Cabinet Sub-Committee for oil exploration formed

Dimapur, September 10 (MExN): The state government has formed a cabinet sub-committee to work out  modalities for oil exploration in Nagaland. Highly reliable sources informed that the committee, which will have five elected legislators and two bureaucrats, will be headed by the Planning minister. The committee was formed yesterday, September 9 after a cabinet meeting in Kohima. The main objective of the committee is to work out modalities for oil exploration in the state which will be applicable in all parts of  Nagaland. The study into  the modalities would take around three months to complete, informed a highly reliable source in the DAN government. The committee would work out modalities such as on what share would go to the people and what share would go to the government, and how best to explore the oil reserves in the state. As of now the lease given by the state government to the oil companies are in suspension, highly places sources  informed.
