Dimapur, December 2 (MExN): The Concerned AYUSH Doctors Association Nagaland (CADAN) informed that the High Court has directed the state government to requisition the 21 AYUSH Medical Officer posts to the NPSC within 6 months from November 2, 2020.
In a press release on Wednesday, the CADAN who had earlier filed a writ petition in the High Court, stated that a judgment was passed on November 2, wherein the Court “has not interfered with the present recruitment process since the appointments are for a period of only 1 year.”
“However, at the paragraph 13 of the above mentioned judgment and order, the High Court has categorically directed to requisition the 21 AYUSH Medical Officer post to the NPSC within 6 months from November 2, 2020, so that the NPSC may start taking steps for regular recruitment and thereafter to make appointment immediately on the expiry of 1 year period from the issuance of appointment orders pursuant to the present recruitment process,” the release stated.
It said that a copy of the judgment and letter has also been sent and received by the Chief Secretary, Government of Nagaland; the Commissioner & Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department, and the Principal Director, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare.
“We hope that the department upholds the judgment of the High Court and take necessary actions based on the judgment passed at the earliest,” it added.
