Dimapur, March 16 (MExN): On March 18, Peace Channel will be organizing a teachers training on peace building at Peace Channel Conference Hall, Bishop House Dimapur from 09:00 am to 01:00 pm. Rev. Fr. T.C Joseph Sdb, Principal Bosco College of Teachers Education and Martha Caceres from Liverpool University U.K. will be the resource persons.
Peace Channel family invites the presence of all the teachers from various schools who are associated with Peace Channel and also those schools who wish to start peace club in their institutions to attend the training. Intending person(s) or institution(s) who would like to be trained on different modules of fundamentals of peace building, inner peace and different skills in teaching can submit their name to peacechannel05@gmail.com on or before March 17 or contact 943626043, 8974522856 for more information.
Peace Channel has been working in promoting peace and harmonious living among children and youth for last ten years. “We have been not only educating the children and youth on cognitive and kinetic skill development but also we have been stressing on the affective dimension of our young buds to be positively transformed, to live in peace with all by loving and not hating,” said a press release from the Peace Channel desk.
“Thus peace channel is planning train volunteers, schools and colleges teachers on Peace building, how to introduce and maintain Peace Clubs in our communities and institutions to equip our young minds to live in peace with oneself, family, institutions and community,” it added.
Peace Channel is a secular movement striving to work for lasting peace in society by transforming the culture of violence in to a culture of peace and nonviolence in the minds of children and youth.
